WORTHINGTON -- Nobles Country commissioners Vern Lestico and Diane Thier will seek re-election in this November.
As of Friday, Lestico has filed for the District Five and Thier for the District Two seat. Daryl Behrends of Wilmont has filed to run against Thier. The filling window runs through Tuesday.
In the City of Worthington, City Council seats currently held by Lyle Ten Haken, Bob Petrich and Mike Woll will be up for election in November. Haken and Petrich are in their second terms, and Woll is completing his first term.
For the Worthington District 518 School Board, the four-year terms held by Steve Schnieder, Lowell Nystrom, Linden Olson and Joel Lorenz will be up for election on this year's ballot. A two-year term is also on the ballot, as Brad Schaffer was appointed to fill an unexpired term from Ann Twiss.
The filing period for positions on the Worthington City Council and District 518 School Board will begin Aug. 26 and run through Sept. 9. Neither board is participating in the primary election.
