WILLMAR -- The 31-year-old Willmar woman charged with assault for biting off a portion of another woman's finger during an Aug. 24 fight pleaded guilty Monday to fifth-degree assault and aggravated forgery.
Judge Donald M. Spilseth ordered in Kandiyohi County District Court that bail be revoked and Dominga Pascacio Sanchez, who is also known as Rosa Isabel Aquino-Ruiz, be held without bail until her sentencing Oct. 27.
As part of a plea agreement, the assault charge was lowered to a misdemeanor and another felony assault charge was dismissed, along with three felony charges of aggravated forgery and forgery.
Sanchez was charged after Willmar police responded to an early morning incident at the Double D Club on Lakeland Drive in which a woman had part of her finger bitten off. The woman was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, where medical staff determined that fingertip could not be reattached.
The woman told officers she was at the club with a friend who was concerned that Aquino-Ruiz was making moves on her husband.

An argument ensued and the woman said Aquino-Ruiz grabbed her hand, put the finger in her mouth and bit down.
Another woman at the club said Aquino-Ruiz was jumped by five girls as she exited the restroom and that she was punched and grabbed in the face before she bit the woman's finger.
The forgery charges were filed after Sanchex told police officers she had worked for three months at Jennie-O Turkey Store under the Rosa Isabel Aquino-Ruiz alias. Information from the Department of Vehicle Services and Jennie-O confirmed the statement. Sanchez said she was from Guerrero, Mexico, and was in the country illegally.
