Rock County Sheriff’s Office: motor vehicle theft, 10:47 p.m. Tuesday, 1100 block of 171st Street, Luverne.

Lyon County Sheriff’s Office: George Wheeler, 48, of Stockton, California was arrested Wednesday after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for numerous equipment violations. During the traffic stop, the deputy learned that Wheeler did not have a valid driver's license and that he had an active warrant out of the State of California for violation of parole. Wheeler was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Lyon County Jail. He was additionally charged with being a fugitive from justice and issued a citation for failure to have a valid driver's license. Wheeler was in the Lyon County Jail awaiting extradition back to California.
