Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office: 11:13 a.m. Saturday, parking lot at Lange’s Café ,100 block of Eighth Avenue Southeast, Pipestone. A 1997 Buick Riviera operated by Janice Carson of Verdi and a 2003 Chevy Blazer operated by Jeffrey De Smet of Lake Benton collided. No injuries were reported at the scene. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.

Lyon County Sheriff’s Office: The Lyon County Sheriff's Office arrested Matthew Blochowitz, 20, of George, Iowa Sunday for speeding (108 mph in a 55 mph zone), careless driving, reckless driving, eluding (OWI), and operating while intoxicated (3rd offense). Blochowitz was transported to the Lyon County Jail.
