PRESS RELEASE FROM BILL WEBER: With the announcement by State Senator Doug Magnus that he will not seek another term, the people of Senate District 22 realize a great loss of solid, conservative leadership in the State Senate.

Recognizing that loss and the need for continued strong leadership, I am announcing my candidacy for the Minnesota State Senate! I will seek the Republican Party endorsement for this seat.

I am a lifelong resident of this district and grew up on the farm in Rock County. For 36 years I have operated a local business and served 16 plus years as Councilman and Mayor in Luverne. I am prepared to serve the people in the State Senate.

The issues are clear: Jobs, the economy, government spending and tax reform.

Within these issues, lies the key to stable funding for education, health care, nursing home care as well as growth in our ag sector, redevelopment of our business community and creating an environment where our residents from young to old will wish to stay, to work and to prosper.

I thank Sen. Magnus for the 10 years of government service he has provided. I look forward to working with the people of this district in building a better Minnesota!
