ST. PAUL - State health officials say two Twin Cities residents were recently sickened in a national salmonella outbreak linked to the consumption of frozen raw sushi tuna.
The salmonellosis victims, both in their 30s, became ill on June 21 and June 30, according to the Minnesota Department of Health. Neither victim was hospitalized.
Their cases were linked to spicy tuna rolls purchased at a grocery store and a workplace cafeteria.
The contaminated tuna is packaged in frozen, vacuum-sealed bags without a brand or other name, according to the Health Department.
