Iowa -- Jessica Christians scored 18 points Monday as the George-Little Rock girls basketball team opened the District 1A playoffs with a 57-44 victory against Clay Central-Everly.
Kaylin Christians added 10 points for G-LR (16-6), which advances to play the winner of Boyden-Hull and Harris-Lake Park Saturday in Hull.
Leah Klett topped CC-E (11-11) with 10 points.

LAKE PARK, Iowa -- Lara Gillespie and Raquel Rost each chipped in 16 points as Harris-Lake Park picked up a first-round victory.
Gillespie added 14 rebounds, six steals and five assists, while Rost had six assists for the Wolves. Brittany Ahrenstorff followed with 13 points and nine rebounds.
Lisa Kelley topped Remsen-St. Mary's with 15 points.

ELLSWORTH -- Amy Kallemeyn was unstoppable inside, scoring a game-high 45 points and grabbing 18 rebounds to lead the 9-11 Flying Ducthmen. Alexa Vanden Bosch added 10 points and five steals for Edgerton.

Kelli Vanderstoep had seven assists, while Heather Van Kley and Katie Hadler posted nine rebounds apiece for the Flying Dutchmen.
Amy Tiesler knocked down 20 points to lead the 10-11 Panthers. Tiesler also grabbed 17 rebounds and recorded six steals for Ellsworth. Mya Mann added 16 points for the Panthers, while Rosie Lewis snatched nine rebounds and Brooke Kramer tallied five assists.

Lake Benton was led by Brianna Doohen with 11 points, followed by Brittany Schindler with nine. Jenn McConnell grabbed eight boards for the 1-20 Bobcats.
