MANKATO – Interstate 90 motorists between Round Lake and Rushmore are advised of traffic restricted to one lane each way beginning Sept. 19 until mid-October as crews resurface the roadway.
The lane restrictions include speed reductions. Ramp closures will be required when the resurfacing is underway on the westbound lanes west of Worthington and the eastbound lanes east of Worthington. Minnesota 60 ramps will remain open and other ramps will only have two-day closures.
The work will improve the safety and smoothness of I-90 and preserves the system for several years into the future.
Information on all I-90 work in southwestern Minnesota can be found at dot.state.mn.us/d7/projects/I90preserve/ where the public may sign up for e-mail updates.
Knife River Construction of Sauk Rapids is the contractor on the $7,259,661 project.
