JACKSON -- A Jackson woman died Friday (June 4, 2010) after a two-car crash in rural Jackson County.
According to a news release from the Jackson County Sherriff's Office, Sandra Hesebeck, 62, of rural Jackson, was driving north on Jackson 29 in a 2003 Buick LaSabre, when her car collided with a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Phillip Neal of Albert Lea in the intersection of Jackson 34 and Jackson 29. Both vehicles left the roadway and came to rest in the northwest ditch.
Neal was treated on scene for minor injuries, and Hesebeck was transported to the Jackson Medical Center and later airlifted to the hospital in Sioux Falls, where she died.
Agencies assisting at the scene were the Alpha First Responders, Jackson Ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol. The accident is under investigation.
