Jackson man who died in North Dakota snowmobile crash identified

The North Dakota Highway Patrol investigated the Wednesday, Jan. 25, crash.

BOWDON, N.D. — A 67-year-old Jackson man who died in a North Dakota snowmobile crash Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, has been identified as Bruce Hanson.

At approximately 7:10 p.m. Jan. 25, the North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to a call of a snowmobile crash that occurred in a field near the intersection of 43rd Avenue Southeast and Third Street Southeast, Bowdon.

The driver of the 2007 Arctic Cat snowmobile died at the scene.

The Wells County Sheriff, Bowdon Fire Department and Bowdon Ambulance assisted at the scene, and the crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

BOWDON, N.D. — A 67-year-old Jackson, Minnesota, man died in a North Dakota snowmobile crash Wednesday, Jan. 25, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The man was pronounced dead on scene. The patrol said there were no witnesses to the crash.

The patrol and the Wells County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a snowmobile crash shortly before 5:10 p.m. The crash happened about 10 miles southeast of Bowdon in central North Dakota.

Highway patrol is investigating the crash.
