Jackson narrows pool to four for coordinator position

JACKSON -- The Jackson County Board of Commissioners has announced its finalists for the position of County Coordinator. The board selected four individuals Tuesday to participate in an interview process that will take place Sept. 24.

JACKSON - The Jackson County Board of Commissioners has announced its finalists for the position of County Coordinator. The board selected four individuals Tuesday to participate in an interview process that will take place Sept. 24.
Steven Duncan most recently was the county coordinator for Menard County, Ill., where he worked for eight years. Before that, he was an assistant city administrator in Eureka, Mo. Duncan holds a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in political science.
Cory Fleming is currently a program director for the International City/County Management Association in Washington, D.C., where she has worked for 12 years. Before that, she worked other administrative positions in the public and private sector. She has a master’s degree in environmental sciences and a bachelor’s degree in regional planning.
Diane Miller is currently a business manager/analyst, which she has done for the past four years. Prior to that she was a city administrator in Canby, and held other human resources and management positions in the private and public sectors. Miller has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and business administration.
Luayn Ruch-Hammond is currently the city administrator in Mayer, where she has been for 11 years. Before that, she held other city administrator positions and served on the LeSueur County Board of Commissioners. She has a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in political science.
