WORTHINGTON - The second of three planned informational meetings to discuss a management plan for Lake Ocheda has been set for 7 p.m. Feb. 27 in one of the meeting rooms at the Hickory Lodge, 2015 N. Humiston Ave., Worthington.
Staff from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ wildlife, fisheries and shallow lakes programs will be on hand to discuss the management plan, which calls for periodic drawdowns of the lake to manage rough fish populations and encourage growth of submergent vegetation.
The public is invited to hear more about the plan and ask questions during the event. Written comments are also being accepted on the overall plan and may be directed to Okabena-Ocheda Watershed District, P.O. Box 114, Worthington 56187.
