Last concert of city band’s season is tomorrow night

WORTHINGTON -- The final concert of the "Amazing" Worthington City Band's 2015 season will take place at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at Chautauqua Park, with Mike Peterson conducting.

WORTHINGTON - The final concert of the “Amazing” Worthington City Band’s 2015 season will take place at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at Chautauqua Park, with Mike Peterson conducting.
Representatives of Worthington-Crailsheim International Inc. will serve as emcees, and the program will feature farewell greetings from 2014-15 Crailsheim, Germany, exchange student Vanessa Pazurek, as well as from Worthington High School junior Skyla Rautenkranz.
Rautenkranz will be Worthington’s student ambassador in Crailsheim during 2015-16, and the pair will fly together to Germany on July 29.
Intermission entertainment will be shared by “7 Trumpets.”
The night’s musical list is slated to include “Simple Gifts,” “Dreaming of December,” “Nearer My God to Thee,” “YMCA” and “Trumpet Filigree,” among other selections.
In case of inclement weather, the concert will take place at Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center.
