LISMORE - Approximately two months since being sentenced for interfering with an emergency telephone call that stemmed from throwing items about the Lismore Bar and Grill, a Lismore woman is back in Nobles County Jail and faces new criminal charges.
Tamisha Winters, 21, was arrested Thursday evening after allegedly assaulting an individual whom she had repeatedly verbally threatened leading up to the assault. Winters and the victim had a personal relationship.
According to the criminal complaint, prior to the alleged assault, the alleged victim reported to the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office that Winters had told him she would stab and “mess him up.”
The victim further informed deputies that Winters would repeatedly call him. Winters happened to call the victim while the deputies were in his presence. The complaint details that deputies, while listening to the phone call on speakerphone, heard Winters tell the victim: “You don’t have long to live.”
Her whereabouts were unknown at the time, and deputies located her cell signal in Sioux Falls, S.D. She returned that evening, at which time she allegedly assaulted the victim.
