MARSHALL - The Southwest Minnesota Arts Council recently announced its latest round of awards for area artists, art organizations and schools.
In all, $90,783 will be distributed across the region.
ISD 518 received a $4,000 grant for a two-day residency with Copper Street Brass of Minneapolis. The group will work with Worthington Middle School band students, perform for a school assembly and also perform with band students at a concert.

Friends of the Auditorium (FOTA), which supports efforts at Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center, received a $12,175 grant for the upgrading of the facility’s lighting equipment system. The upgrade will allow the system to support LEDs and a DMX infrastructure, both of which will enhance the auditorium’s lighting and special effects capabilities.
