5 vehicles collide on Minnesota 60 during Thursday's snowstorm

All five vehicles were traveling east on Minnesota 60.

BREWSTER — The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a five-vehicle crash with multiple non-life-threatening injuries at 12:41 p.m. Thursday on Minnesota 60 at milepost 16.

Curtis Dean Janzen, 67, of Mountain Lake, was driving a 2022 Subaru Forester, Lauren Elizabeth Fruth, 24, of North Branch, was driving a 2014 Grand Caravan, Yad Michael Killian, 50, of Wadena, was driving a 2015 Ford F250, Eloise A. Hiemke, 71, of Blaire, Nebraska, was driving a 2020 Buick Encore, and Clara Yamileth Lopez, 18, of Brewster, was driving a 2015 Ford Focus, with two juvenile female passengers, one 8 and one 11.

All five vehicles were traveling east on Minnesota 60 when they collided on the snowy, icy roadway. Everyone involved in the crash was wearing seatbelts, and airbags deployed in all the vehicles except Killian's.

Janzen, Hiemke, Lopez and her two passengers received non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center.

The Nobles County Sheriff's Office, Brewster Fire and Emergency Medical Services, and Worthington Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.
