Aug. 8, 2022: Area students earn honors, graduate

Many students from southwest Minnesota and northwest Iowa received degrees or honors recently.

Kaitlen Feroni, Lakefield, and Alexis Slater, Rushmore, were recently named to the spring 2022 dean’s list at South Central College, which required a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Area students who were recently named to the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, which required a 3.66 GPA, included Gracia Elias, Adrian; Hannah Rahn, Bingham Lake; Catherine Hinzman, Lester, Iowa; Alexis Ferrell, Amelia Jarchow, Grace Sweeney, Solveig Tofteland and Jordan Winter, Luverne; Samuel Bobendrier and Darius Sandy, Pipestone; Victoria Schutz, Windom; and Bernarda Torres, Worthington.

Area students who were recently named to the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester at Bethel University, St. Paul, which required a 3.6 GPA or better, included Laura Clark, Milford, Iowa; Noah Rempel, Mountain Lake; and Josie Harms, Slayton.

Eric Soleta, Windom, recently graduated from Rochester Community and Technical College with an associate degree.
