WORTHINGTON — Three seats on the District 518 Board of Education are up for grabs in the next general election, slated for Tuesday, Nov. 8.
The period for filing affidavits of candidacy for the positions starts Aug. 2, and ends at 5 p.m. Aug. 16.
The terms last four years.
Current board members whose seats are up for election are Lori Dudley, Mike Harberts and Adam Blume.
Affidavits of candidacy are available at the district office, currently located at 117 11th Ave., Worthington, for a filing fee of $2.

Candidates must be eligible voters, 21 years of age or older upon assuming office, and must have been a resident of the school district for 30 days before the general election. In addition, the candidate must not have an affidavit on file for any other office at the same general election.
