LAMBERTON — A Corn and Soybean Pest Management Field Day is planned from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Aug. 31, at the Southwest Research and Outreach Center near Lamberton. There is no fee to attend. Pre-registration is preferred by Aug. 26 to ensure a meal.
Registration will occur from 8:30 to 9 a.m., with a field tour from 9 a.m. to noon to view research plots. Lunch will follow the conclusion of the tour. In case of inclement weather, the speakers will present inside. Certified Crop Advisor credits in Integrated Pest Management (3 credits) will be available for participants.
Research tours will focus on corn rootworm management, Soybean cyst nematode management and weed management techniques.
