District 518 fifth-graders compete in mini-science fair

WORTHINGTON — Fifth-grade teachers Lisa Madison and Rebekah Campbell hosted a science fair at the Intermediate School recently.

Alex Gomez earned first place with a presentation on wind energy; Ajdin Gossom earned second place with a presentation on solar-powered and electric vehicles; and Esmeralda Galvez earned third place with a presentation on electric circuits.

The school-wide science fair, for students in third through fifth grades, will be after school March 15 at the Intermediate School.
