WINDOM — Several types of electric vehicles (EVs) will be available to the public for viewing during a special EV-focused event from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 10, at the Windom Community Center, 1750 Cottonwood Lake Drive, Windom.

There will also be an opportunity to test drive a Ford F-150 Lighting, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV or the Polestar. The goal of the event is to connect those interested in EVs to those who have already made the leap to purchase an EV.

Models of EVs at the event will include: Hyundai Kona, Chevy Bolts, Tesla models, and a Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. Representatives from Federated Rural Electric, Nobles Cooperative Electric, Great River Energy, Minnesota Clean Cities and several EV owners will be on hand.

Attendees will get a free bag of kettle corn from the Kettle Corn Guy, while supplies last. Lingen Dairy will be on-hand with their food truck to serve up burgers, cheese curds, French fries and shakes.
