Due to a design error, an inaccurate headline, “Driver in fatal crash sentenced”, appeared in the Aug. 10 print edition. The driver, Sylias Kamm, has not yet made his initial court appearance. The correct headline is “Driver charged in fatal crash,” as seen in the e-paper and online.

In “District 518's VIBE program terminated for licensure issues, failing to meet Minnesota standards,” published Aug. 10, the Instructional Committee of the District 518 Board of Education learned about a new Minnesota law regarding student data policy. Additionally, the committee checked on the district’s plan to have all-day preschool for 4-year-olds beginning in the 2023-24 school year.
