Minnesota State Patrol: two-vehicle crash with injuries, 2:41 p.m. Tuesday, U.S. 71 and Minnesota 60, Windom. A 17-year-old male was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Impala southbound toward the U.S. 71 and Minnesota 60 when it collided with an eastbound 2006 Toyota Sequoia driven by William James Fossing, 63, Excelsior. Fossing and a passenger, Sherri Lyons, 63, of Windom, each sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Windom Hospital. The juvenile was not injured. All individuals were wearing seatbelts.

WPD: crash with injuries, 10:18 a.m. Wednesday, Diagonal Road and Thomas Avenue. Worthington Rescue and Sanford Ambulance dispatched.

Lyon County Sheriff’s Office: two-vehicle crash without injuries, Greene Street and Iowa 9, Rock Rapids. Gary Vogel, 71, of Rock Rapids, was driving northbound on Greene Street and attempted a left turn on Iowa 9. Hannah Hulstein, 19, of Hull, Iowa, was westbound on Iowa 9. Vogel failed to yield and struck the Hulstein vehicle. Both vehicles sustained approximately $5,000 in damage. Vogel admitted to consuming intoxicants and was arrested for OWI first offense.

Lyon County Sheriff’s Office: crash with injuries, 8:58 a.m. Thursday, intersection of Union Street and First Avenue, Rock Rapids, Iowa. Amy Dammer, 39, of Rushmore, was driving a 2007 Chevy Malibu westbound when she collided with a 2015 Buick Enclave driven by Irene Gacke, 63, of Ellsworth. Gacke and a passenger were transported by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles were considered a total loss. The crash remains under investigation. Assisting at the scene were the Rock Rapids Fire Department, Lyon County Ambulance and Dusty’s Auto Body.
