Rocky Hayes, 47, of Sioux Falls, was charged Jan. 20 with three counts of possessing child pornography, each a Class 4 felony.
If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of no more than five years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both for each of the charges against him.

Minnesota State Patrol: one-vehicle rollover, 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, Interstate 90 in mile 72, Des Moines Township, Jackson County. Mendoza Armando Magana, 38, of Granada, was driving a 2005 Jeep Liberty eastbound in snow and ice conditions when the vehicle rolled. Magana sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Jackson hospital. He was wearing a seatbelt. Passengers in the vehicle included Anarbol Maldonado Magana, 67, of Pasco, Washington, and Raymundo Quiroz Rosales, 54, address unknown, both of whom sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported to a Sioux Falls, South Dakota hospital. Anarbol Magana was wearing his seatbelt, but it is unknown if Rosales wore a seatbelt. Additional passengers included Mary Yerania Magana, 37, of Granada, and Yakelin Magana, 17, of Lakefield, both of who were wearing seatbelts and sustained non-life threatening injuries. They were transported to the Jackson Hospital. Assisting at the scene were the Jackson County Fire and EMS, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Lakefield Fire and EMS and Warmka Towing.

Minnesota State Patrol: two-vehicle crash with injuries, 3:31 p.m. Tuesday, Interstate 90 in mile 35, Dewald Township, Nobles County. Stacy Grace Kerkaert, 65, of Worthington, was driving a 2003 Ford Escape westbound on I-90 when it collided with a westbound 2013 Toyota Corolla driven by Terry Alan Smith, 60, of Castlewood, South Dakota. Kerkaert and Smith each sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center. Both were wearing their seatbelt. The roads were snow and ice covered at the time of the crash. Assisting at the scene were the Adrian Ambulance, Worthington Ambulance and Nobles County Sheriff’s Office.


Lyon County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Office: rollover with possible injuries, 9:55 p.m. Tuesday, Iowa 9 near its intersection with Fig Avenue. Jean Marrow, of Sioux Falls, S.D., was driving a 2013 Toyota Scion west on Iowa 9 when she hit a drift, lost control, went into the north ditch and rolled. She was transported to Avera Hospital in Rock Rapids, Iowa, with possible injuries. Lyon County Ambulance, Lester Fire and Rescue and the Iowa State Patrol assisted at the scene.

Linda Marie Wandersee-Callanan, 58, made her first appearance Wednesday in Kandiyohi County District Court on arson charges, after she allegedly attempted to burn the courthouse, other city and government offices and businesses on Sunday. A petition to commit her as mentally ill has also been filed.
