Jackson County Sheriff’s Office: semi loaded with hogs in the median, 11:29 p.m. Tuesday, Interstate 90, west of Lakefield. A Livestock Recovery Team was dispatched and assisted by the fire department in transferring the livestock to another trailer. Crews were on the scene for about four and a half hours.

WPD: hit and run, 12:41 a.m. Wednesday, 1700 block of northeast Minnesota 60.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office: single-vehicle rollover with no injuries, 4:52 a.m. Wednesday, U.S. 71 south of Jackson.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office: snowblower tractor tipped on its side, 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, Jackson. A tow truck was called to the scene.

Lyon County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Office: crash without injuries, 11:10 a.m. Thursday, 2300 block of U.S. 75. Jordan Brantsen, Rock Valley, Iowa, was driving a 2001 Peterbilt south on U.S. 75 when he began to turn to make a delivery. The trailer the Peterbilt was pulling had snow-covered lights, causing the vehicles behind it to not see a blinker or brake light. William Leusink, Sioux Center, was also driving a 2004 Peterbilt south on U.S. 75, did not see Brantsen’s signal lights and was unable to come to a stop on the highway. Due to oncoming traffic, he was reportedly forced to steer his truck and trailer into the west ditch of U.S. 75. No injuries were reported, and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by TrackSide Towing of Alvord, Iowa.

Dickinson County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Office: two-vehicle collision with serious injuries, 11:16 a.m. Thursday, 1600 block of Iowa 9. Diane Kletsch, 59, of Valley Falls, Kansas, was driving a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 west on Iowa 9 when she lost control of the vehicle, crossed the centerline, and struck the driver’s side of an eastbound 2016 Mercedes Benz C300 driven by Tana Nozka, 43, of Lake Park, Iowa. Nozka was extricated from the vehicle by mechanical means and sustained serious or incapacitating injuries. She was transported by ambulance to the hospital, and the dog in her vehicle was transported to the veterinarian. Kletsch reportedly had no injuries. The DCSO was assisted on the scene by Dickinson County Emergency Management, the Lake Park Fire Department, Iowa DNR, Lakes Regional Healthcare Ambulance and Jennings Tow & Repair.
