Lyon County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Office: two-vehicle crash, Saturday, at the intersection of Kennedy Avenue and 180th Street. A 2013 Chrysler 200 driven by Tayla Hinrichs, George, Iowa, was turning south on Kennedy Avenue when it was struck by a northbound 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Mason Koster, Ashton, Iowa. Both vehicles sustained approximately $15,000 in damage. Assisting at the scene were the Lyon County Ambulance, George Fire Department, George EMS, Little Rock Ambulance and Trackside Towing.
Minnesota State Patrol: two-vehicle crash with injuries, 10:53 a.m. Saturday, U.S. 59 and 160th Street. Lorna Leanne Thompson, 80, of San Marino, California, was driving a 2016 Honda Fit eastbound on 160th Street, and Jose Antonio Pilar Lopez, 38, of Pipestone, was driving a 2016 Peterbilt semi tractor-trailer southbound on U.S. 59 when the vehicles collided in the intersection. Thompson sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center. She was wearing a seatbelt. Lopez was not injured, and was also wearing a seatbelt. Assisting at the scene were the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, Brewster Fire and Rescue, and Sanford Ambulance.

Minnesota State Patrol: crash with injuries, 2:24 a.m. Tuesday, eastbound I-90 in mile 26. Anthony Carl Withers, 38, of Brandon, South Dakota, was driving a Ford F-150 when he swerved to miss a deer. The vehicle entered the median, striking the cable median barrier and rolled. Withers sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center. He was wearing a seatbelt. Assisting at the scene were the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, Adrian Ambulance and Rescue.
