Minnesota State Patrol: crash with injuries, 1:05 p.m. Wednesday, Minnesota 60 near milepost 40, Windom. Braden Edward Yonker, 17, of Bingham Lake, was driving a 2003 Ford F350 west on Minnesota 60, and a 16-year-old female was driving a 2013 Ford C-Max south on First Street entering westbound Minnesota 60 when the vehicles collided in the intersection. Yonker was uninjured. The 16-year-old driver was taken to Windom Hospital, along with her passenger, Virginia Jensen, 17, of Heron Lake, who received non-life-threatening injuries. All three people were wearing seatbelts, and airbags deployed in both vehicles. The Windom Police Department, Windom Fire, Windom Ambulance and Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.


WPD: crash without injuries, 1:47 p.m. Thursday, 1000 block of Oxford Street.

NCSO: rollover with injuries, 3:58 p.m. Thursday, Fulda.

NCSO: crash with injuries, 3:43 p.m.Friday. Worthington Ambulance and Rushmore Rescue responded to the scene.


Osceola County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Office: convicted Wade Ira Shannon Blakeman, 24, of Sibley, Iowa, for operating vehicle without owner’s consent, an aggravated misdemeanor, on March 2. Blakeman will serve 60 days in the Osceola County Jail with all but five days suspended and credit for time served, pay a fine of $855 and a 15% crime services surcharge, as well as court costs, fees and restitution to the medical assistance program. He will be placed on probation for two years.

Lyon County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Office: cited Joshua Allen, 27, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Monday, for possession of a controlled substance second offense.

Lyon County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Office: arrested Thomas Dotson, 55, of Milford, Tuesday. He was charged with possession with the intent to distribute (methamphetamine), failure to affix a drug tax stamp, possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

WPD: suspicious boats parked in their building, 8:12 a.m. Tuesday, 1600 block of Stower Drive.
