Lyon County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Office: jackknifed truck and trailer, Friday, 2600 block of Iowa 18. Ty Koekoek, Rock Valley, Iowa, was driving a 2015 Ram 1500 pickup pulling a utility trailer northbound when he hit ice, jackknifed and entered the west ditch. Assisting at the scene were the Inwood Rescue and Inwood Fire Department.


JCSO: vehicle in ditch, 10:31 a.m. Friday, near the intersection of Jackson County 9 and 14.

JCSO: jackknifed semi blocking both lanes of traffic, 10:53 a.m. Friday, I-90 near the Heron Lake exit.

JCSO: semi driver reports being hit by pickup with Texas plates, 12:45 p.m. Friday, Minnesota 60 near Wilder.

JCSO: semi crossed median and eastbound lanes before entering a field, 2:07 p.m. Friday, I-90 near the Nobles County line.

NCSO: crash without injuries, 4:35 p.m. Friday, U.S. 59. Brewster Rescue dispatched.

JCSO: vehicle off road, 3:15 a.m. Saturday, Minnesota 60, east of Brewster.

WPD: crash with injuries, 8:04 a.m. Saturday, 1300 block of Oxford Street. Ambulance dispatched.

Minnesota State Patrol: crash with injuries, 12:21 p.m. Saturday, Minnesota 91 near 190th Street, Lismore Township, Nobles County. Adam Christopher Diliberti, 52, of Zion, Illinois, was driving a 2019 Ford Pickup northbound on Minnesota 91 when the vehicle entered the west ditch due to the snow and ice-covered road and rolled. A passenger, Karen L Diliberti, 74, of Zion, Illinois, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center. The driver was not injured. Both individuals were wearing their seatbelt and the airbag did deploy. Assisting at the scene were the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, Lismore Fire Department and Adrian Ambulance.

Lyon County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Office: one vehicle rollover, Saturday, near the intersection of 180th Street and Grant Avenue. Isaac Buwalda, 19, of Ripon, California, was driving a 1999 Jeep Cherokee westbound on 180th Street when he hit a patch of ice, lost control, entered the south ditch and rolled, coming to rest on the driver’s side.

JCSO: semi in the ditch, 6:39 p.m. Saturday, I-90 near the Heron Lake exit.

WPD: hit and run, 12:21 a.m. Sunday, Grand Avenue and Clary Street.

WPD: hit and run, 5:28 p.m. Sunday, 1000 block of Ryan’s Road.

Minnesota State Patrol: two-vehicle crash with injuries, 8:26 a.m. Monday, U.S. 75 at First Street. Joel Richard Farrington, 45, was driving a 2005 Subaru Legacy east on Rock County 12. Danny Pete Englert, 55, of Luverne, was driving a 2017 Dodge Ram north on U.S. 75, accompanied by passenger Elizabeth Lynn Boyle, 74, of Yakima, Washington. The vehicles collided at the intersection. Airbags deployed in both vehicles, and all three people, who were wearing their seatbelts, received non-life-threatening injuries. All were transported to Pipestone County Medical Center. Jasper Fire and Hatfield First Responders assisted at the scene.

WPD: disorderly, 12:18 a.m. Saturday, 1400 block of North Burlington Avenue.

JCSO: disabled semi, 2:02 a.m. Saturday, I-90 near the Heron Lake exit. Driver given a ride to motel in Jackson.

WPD: disorderly, 2:32 p.m. Saturday, 1200 block of Oxford Street.


WPD: disorderly, 3:39 p.m. Saturday, 1100 block of Seventh Avenue.

JCSO: illegal dumping of tires, 4:36 p.m. Saturday, Jackson city dump.

JCSO: possible violation of order for protection, 9:41 p.m. Saturday.

JCSO: report of someone trying to break into an apartment in Jackson, 3:43 a.m. Sunday. Individual was intoxicated and thought he left his keys inside the apartment, where he’d been drinking with the resident. He found the keys in his coat pocket after more searching.

JCSO: arrested 20-year-old Jackson resident for probable cause DUI, 7:39 a.m. Sunday, Jackson.

NCSO: juvenile female runaway, 6:06 p.m. Sunday, Worthington.

WPD: disturbing the peace, 10:25 p.m. Sunday, 800 block of 10th Street.

WPD: disorderly male, 12:34 a.m. Monday, 700 block of Orchard Road.
