Crashes

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office: vehicle versus dog crash, 1 p.m. Tuesday, U.S. 71, south of Jackson.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office: semi in ditch, 10:01 a.m. Tuesday, Petersburg Road near the Iowa state line. Two tow trucks assisted at the scene, and personnel were on the scene for about 3 hours.

WPD: hit and run, 12:54 p.m. Wednesday, 1000 block of Ryan’s Road.

Lyon County Sheriff’s Office: crash without injuries, 5:11 a.m. Thursday, 1700 block of Iowa 182. Jamie Thompson, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was driving south in a box truck when it dropped a tire into the west ditch. The vehicle corrected itself, crossed the roadway and entered the east ditch facing north. The driver was uninjured, but was extricated by Larchwood Fire. The vehicle sustained extensive damage. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Larchwood Fire and EMS, Trackside Towing and the Iowa State Patrol.
