Oscar Ernesto Vides-Cabrera faces felony charges for first-degree assault resulting in great bodily harm, third-degree assault involving a child under the age of four, third-degree assault resulting in substantial bodily harm, and malicious punishment of a child.

Minnesota State Patrol: two-vehicle crash with injuries, 3:03 p.m. Friday, U.S. 71, Windom. Matthew Michael Adrian, 34, of Mountain Lake, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on U.S. 71 when he collided with a southbound 2006 Volvo semi driven by Teklay Gebretsadi Hadgu, 42, of Sioux City, Iowa. Adrian sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Windom hospital. Both men were wearing a seat belt and the airbags did not deploy in either vehicle. Assisting at the scene were the Windom Ambulance, Windom Police Department and Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office.

WPD: crash without injuries, 4 p.m. Friday, U.S. 59 and Oxford Street.

NCSO: crash without injuries, 6:51 p.m. Friday, Read Avenue and 280th Street, Worthington.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office: assisted with a crash, 9:50 a.m. Saturday, Interstate 90 near the Heron Lake exit. A vehicle was reported to have been traveling at 100-plus mph and struck another vehicle as it was changing lanes.

WPD: crash with injuries, 6:55 p.m. Sunday, Minnesota 60 and Oxford Street roundabout. Worthington Rescue and Sanford Ambulance dispatched.

NCSO: crash with injuries, 8:18 a.m. Monday, U.S. 59, Sibley, Iowa. Sanford Ambulance, Worthington Rescue, Brewster Rescue and Bigelow Rescue assisted at the scene.
