“Back in the day, everybody knew this,” Lee said. “We’ve lost the visual language of this over the years.”
“I think you have to have a passion for people, being able to help people thrive in what they do,” Meyer said of HR.
“Just come down and bring the kids, and we’ll have some fun activities planned,” Holinka said.

Attendees will learn more about how to become a licensed family child care provider, receive information on the licensing process and have access to available resources and support. The event is free and open to the public.

“It’s a great opportunity for folks interested in starting a childcare business to learn about the process and connect with resources that can help them,” said Joshua Schuetz, one of the project leads for the county’s child care initiative.

Light refreshments will be available at the event, courtesy of the Southwest Initiative Foundation (SWIF). Interested individuals are encouraged to RSVP, although it is not required. The event will be an open-house format, so attendees can come and go when it is convenient for them.

To RSVP, contact Schuetz at joshua.schuetz@cedausa.com or (507) 295-5285.
