WORTHINGTON — Jaime Salinas has been named the new executive director for Forward Worthington, and will begin in his new position on May 22.
Salinas and his family have been part of the Worthington community for more than 15 years, and Salinas himself has a long track record of community involvement.
He volunteered on the King Turkey Day Board for 7 years, co-founded and helped organize the Worthington’s Best Margarita event, and serves as a volunteer firefighter for the Worthington Fire Department.
His voice may be familiar to many due to his 12 years with Radio Works as announcer/production coordinator or his continuing work as an announcer for District 518 and Minnesota West Community and Technical College activities.
Salinas has been working as a senior account manager for Doll Distributing for the last 2 years.

He has helped the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce by hosting a business spotlight show on WGTN-TV3 titled “The Chamber Update.” He has also hosted and emceed various chamber events and served on the Ambassadors Club.
Forward Worthington is a non-profit volunteer organization of businesses and individuals who band together to advance the commercial, financial, industrial and civic interests of the community in an effort to expand the economy of the area.
It encompasses the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce, Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Regional Economic Development for the area.
