Historical society talks Valentine traditions, floriography

NCHS director Beth Rickers will lead a program about the Victorian language of flowers and Valentine’s Day traditions.

WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Historical Society invites the public to its February program, “Hearts + Flowers,” which starts at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Nobles County Heritage Center, formerly known as the historic armory, at 225 Ninth St. in Worthington.

“Perhaps we can all take a look at the anti-bullying policy and see whether there’s anything that you should do to make it more robust."

NCHS director Beth Rickers will lead a program about the Victorian language of flowers and Valentine’s Day traditions. Participants will also learn to fold a paper heart.

Light refreshments will be served.
