JACKSON — A Jackson man has been charged with first-degree burglary and fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct for nonconsensual contact. Antonio Floritiona Ramos, 33, also faces one misdemeanor count of trespassing.
Charges stem from a May 21 report, during which the victim met with a Jackson County deputy. According to the criminal complaint, the victim stated that after moving to Jackson, Ramos, with whom the victim had a prior relationship, was coming into her residence uninvited.
The victim reportedly asked Ramos to stop coming over via text message. In April, neighbors informed the victim that Ramos was seen entering her home in the middle of the night. The victim was unaware of the incident.
The victim installed video surveillance at her residence after asking Ramos why he was coming over. He denied being at her residence.
After the victim’s neighbor again stated seeing Ramos at the victim's residence, the victim reviewed the surveillance video and reportedly found that Ramos had been inside her home on May 17 and 18.

Law enforcement reviewed the surveillance video, where Ramos is reportedly seen touching the sleeping victim under the sheets and getting into bed with her. The victim stated she did not remember any of this.
Officers spoke with the victim's neighbor who reported seeing Ramos’ vehicle at the victim's residence late at night for the last two or three months on at least five occasions.
Last week, Ramos was located and placed under arrest. While speaking with officers, he said he was just dropping things off for the victim, but later reportedly admitted that he knew what he was doing was not appropriate.
If convicted, Ramos faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and/or a $35,000 fine, but no less than six months in prison for the charge of first-degree burglary. The maximum sentence for fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct is one year in jail and/or a $3,000 fine, while trespassing carries a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.
Ramos’ bail was set at $20,000 with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 8.
