July 20, 2022: Area students earn honors, graduate

Many students from southwest Minnesota and northwest Iowa received degrees or honors recently.

Area students who received associate degrees from Alexandria Technical & Community College this spring include Christian Hoiland, Adrian; Kaylee Bents, Bigelow; Parker Bramstedt, Bingham Lake; Abigail Hammann, Slayton; Samuel Hansen, Westbrook; and Ashley Noerenberg, Worthington.

Ethan Phommasy, Worthington, earned a medical laboratory science degree from the University of Minnesota recently.

Anna Volk, Heron Lake, and Caiden Smidt, Pipestone, were named to the spring 2022 president’s roll of honor at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, which required an overall cumulative GPA of 3.80 or higher.

Area students named to the spring 2022 dean’s list at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, which required a GPA in the top 15%, include Anna Volk, Heron Lake; Caiden Smidt, Pipestone; Victoria Murillo Quiroga, Windom; and Max Langerud, Worthington.

Cale Jensen, Heron Lake, was named to the spring 2022 president’s at Riverland Community College, Austin, which required a 4.0 GPA.
