MINNEAPOLIS — Amber Post, 19, of Lake Wilson was selected over the weekend as one of 10 finalists for Minnesota’s 69th Princess Kay of the Milky Way.
Post, who represents Murray County, is the daughter of Grant and April Post. Other finalists include Alex Christen, 20, Sauk Centre (Stearns County); Aly Dieball, 19, Green Isle (Sibley County); twins Hailey and Kallie Frericks, 19, Albany (Stearns County); Ashley Holst, 20, Kellogg (Wabasha County); Kiley Lickfelt, 20, Hutchinson (McLeod County); Briana Maus, 18, Freeport (Stearns County); Rachel Rynda, 19, Montgomery (LeSueur County); and Allison Wright, 19, Hutchinson (McLeod County).
The finalists were named during the Dairy Promotion and Leadership Event, May 13-14 at Delta Hotel, Minneapolis. The weekend also included opportunities for networking and leadership workshops.
To compete as a finalist for Princess Kay of the Milky Way, candidates submitted an application, participated in a personal interview, prepared and delivered a speech, and conducted a mock media interview.
All 10 finalists will have their likeness carved in butter during the 2022 Minnesota State Fair.
