Library News: Week of May 7, 2023

WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Library, 407 12th St., Worthington, is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The Adrian Branch Library, 214 Maine Ave., Adrian, is open from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Participants are responsible for their own ride to and from the library. Stop by the library or call (507) 295-5340 to sign up your children.

Monday, May 8: Wii for students in Grades 5-9 after school until 4:45 p.m.

Tuesday, May 9: After-School Program (Grades K-5), until 4:45 p.m.

Wednesday, May 10: Story Time (toddlers and preschoolers), 10 to 11 a.m.; Just Gurlz (for girls in grades 5-9) after school until 4:45 p.m.

Thursday, May 11: After-School Program (Grades K-5), until 4:45 p.m.

Monday, May 15: Wii for students in Grades 5-9 after school until 4:45 p.m.

Tuesday, May 16: After-School Program (Grades K-5), until 4:45 p.m.

The last week of after school programs begins May 22.

May 9: Doug Ohman, a photographer, public speaker and historian will speak from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Game: 5:15 to 6:45 p.m., every Monday through May 22. Please call or stop in to register!

Friends of the Library Book Club: 6 p.m., May 22, discussing the book “The Blackout Book Club” by Amy Lynn Green. Please join us in person at the library or on Zoom. All are welcome.

For adults: Knitting kit, audio history kit, crocheting kit, Zentangle kit and a coloring kit.

For kids: Baking kit, Magna-Tiles basic kit, Magna-Tiles building kit, and color kit. Coming soon: two new kits!

Now showing: annual Area Art Show. The show will remain open through June 30.

Art Club: Art Club meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. There is no cost to join and all are welcome to join in the fun!
