WORTHINGTON — A cross, flowers and candle were left on Sailboard Beach earlier this week to memorialize a 19-year-old Worthington man who drowned nearby on July 11, 2022 .

As of Friday morning, July 22, the teen's name had not yet been released to the public.

A 1999 graduate of Jackson County Central and a 2003 graduate of Augsburg College, Kari Lucin started writing for newspapers in Minnesota and North Dakota in 2006.
