Police looking for man charged in Windom homicide case

WINDOM — The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Windom Police Department are attempting to locate a Windom man connected to a local homicade case.

The suspect is charged with felony obstruction of the legal process, a felony count of fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, and a gross misdemeanor count of ineligible firearm possession.

Ralph Leslie Apmann, 58, posted bail after being charged with homicide, but failed to appear in court the morning of Feb. 13 for the trial.

Apmann was arrested in August 2021, after allegedly choking a man outside the Phat Pheasant Pub in Windom.

The Minnesota BCA stated in an alert that Apmann is believed to be armed with a 9mm handgun and an AR-15 rifle. Investigators believe Apmann may be in the Twin Cities metro area.

Ralph Leslie Apmann has a felony warrant for second-degree homicide and failure to appear for jury trial.
