LUVERNE — The fifth annual Love the Burger Battle, sponsored by the Rock-Nobles Cattlemen’s Association, kicks off Monday, April 24 and will continue through May 27.
Participating Rock County restaurants include Bogey’s Bar & Grill, Luverne; Green Lantern Bar & Grill, Hardwick; Hidden Hills Cafe & Hideaway Tavern, Hills; Howling Dog Saloon, Luverne; and Sterling’s Cafe & Grill, Luverne.
Participating restaurants will exemplify the breadth and variety of dining by showcasing the classic American beef hamburger. Enjoy a burger, and then rate it to see who the restaurant winner will be. Customers will assign up to five points in each of five categories for every featured burger they try. The burger with the highest average points at the conclusion of the battle will be declared the winner.
Rock-Nobles Cattlemen’s Association will present the Love the Burger traveling trophy to the winner at 8 p.m. June 2, during the Buffalo Days Cruise-In on Main Street, Luverne.
Contest categories include the patty, presentation, toppings, flavor and customer service. The restaurants won’t be the only ones winning prizes. Customers who participate will be entered to win in the restaurant gift card drawings. Ten $10 gift cards will be given by each restaurant.
