Sanford offers ‘Inside Out’ summer program

In “Inside Out: An Anatomy and Health Experience” students will learn about the heart, lungs and kidneys, dissecting each organ and learning about its function.

LUVERNE — Sanford is offering a free summer program for youth in grades six through eight from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 13 at the Minnesota West Community & Technical College campus in Luverne.

Sanford Promise camps provide STEM education outreach for Sanford Research.

In “Inside Out: An Anatomy and Health Experience” students will learn about the heart, lungs and kidneys, dissecting each organ, learning about its function and how to keep them healthy as well as why researchers are interested in them.

Participants will need parental/guardian permission to participate in dissection and fitness activities. The program is free to attend and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Upon enrolling, participants will be notified within 5 business days of registration confirmation.
