ADRIAN -- The Luverne Cardinals girls' basketball team used six 3-point baskets in the first half to build a comfortable lead Tuesday, then held on late for a 54-52 victory against the Adrian Dragons.
Luverne built a 32-21 lead at the intermission, in part, because of its shooting from the outside.
Mindy Nieuwboer led the Cardinals (12-9) with 21 points, while Alyssa Klein added 11.
Sam Lynn led four players in double figures for Adrian (12-10) with 14 points and eight assists. Brittany Bullerman recorded a double-double (10 points, 10 boards), while Emily Thier had 10 points and five assists, and Jolene Reisdorfer picked up 10 points.
Luverne hosts St. James on Saturday, while Adrian hosts Edgerton on Thursday.

TRACY -- Murray County Central outscored Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 14-7 in the game's final four minutes to break a 64-all tie, and pick up the victory.
Laura Beers (six steals), Janeane Robinson and Emily Bose all scored 16 points for MCC (18-3).
Rachel Christiansen tallied 11 points and eight rebounds, and Jenny Starken dished out three assists for the Rebels, who visit Fulda on Thursday.
T-M-B's Ashlee Domine led all scorers with 21 points, while also collecting eight rebounds and three assists.
Emily Miller (17), Krysta Tholen (15) and Alyssa Kirk (12) also scored in double figures for the Panthers (7-16), who host Renville County West on Thursday.

JACKSON -- Megan Bezdicek scored 21 points to lead Jackson County Central over Martin County West.
The Huskies' Traci Fransen added 16 points, while Brooke Burmeister tallied 10 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three assists.
Anna Meneely also charted four steals and three assists for the Huskies (7-16), who only turned the ball over 13 times, while forcing 31 Maverick miscues, and also held a 16-3 edge in the offensive rebound department.
Abby Weiss (17) and Rachelle Eckmann (12) led Martin County West in scoring.
JCC goes to Luverne Tuesday.

LAKE BENTON -- Westbrook-Walnut Grove grabbed almost as many rebounds as points, hauling in 61 boards, on their way to a road win against Lake Benton.
Malori Paplow was the leading scorer for W-WG (1-13, 4-15), hitting for 15 points.
Jonna Maas and Abby Knott also hit double figures with 12 and 10, respectively, while Jessica Olsem scored eight points and snagged 11 rebounds to help W-WG.
Lake Benton (0-10, 1-21) was led by Brianna Doohen's 14 points, followed by eight points and 11 rebounds from Brittany Carpenter.
W-WG travels to SV-RL-B on Thursday.
