Luverne Street Music adds new lessons

LUVERNE - Mandolin, bass guitar, guitar, trombone and euphonium lessons will be offered for the first time this fall at Luverne Street Music, located inside the Carnegie, 205 N. Freeman Ave., Luverne. These lessons are in addition to those already offered in violin, viola, cello, ukulele, piano, organ, voice, brass and woodwinds.

Luverne Street Music is also welcoming youths to join its Children’s Choir. Open to youths in grades 1-5, the students will develop healthy vocal techniques and explore music concepts and artistic expression. Christine Thorson is the director and Ross Bergman the accompanist.

Rehearsals begin Sept. 26, but pre-registration is due by Sept. 12. An open house is planned from 5-6 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Carnegie Cultural Center. Practices will be from 5:15 to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays.
