WORTHINGTON -- A Magnolia man has been charged with several controlled substance crimes after selling drugs to an undercover law enforcement agent on more than one occasion.

Wendell Wayne Hunt, 18, is charged in Nobles County District Court with first-degree controlled substance crime-sale, second-degree-possession, and fifth-degree sale and possession, all felonies.

Hunt met with an undercover agent Jan. 18 and sold him four ounces of what later field-tested positive for marijuana for $300.

On Jan. 24, an undercover agent spoke with Hunt over the phone. Hunt said he had 5 or 6 ounces of mushrooms to get rid of and listed a breakdown of prices for varying quantities. A meeting place in Nobles County was agreed upon for later that day.

During the meeting, Hunt sold two bags of suspected psilocybin mushrooms to the agent for $600. The bags weighed 32 grams each.
