A Belcourt, N.D., man remained in jail today on kidnapping and domestic assault charges stemming from an incident Saturday night, Fargo police said.
Allen LaFontaine, 24, is accused of assaulting a woman, resulting in abrasions, at an auto shop on the 2200 block of First Avenue North in Fargo, Sgt. Mark Lykken said.
Immediately following that incident, LaFountain dragged the woman's sister four blocks to her residence, pulling her by the hair.
"During the process she was begging him to let go," Lykken said. One of the women later called police.
Neither woman was seriously injured nor required medical attention. Both incidents apparently involved alcohol, Lykken said.

LaFontaine was being held today in the Cass County Jail without bond pending a court appearance.
