ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa - A Sheldon, Iowa, man now faces an additional charge after showing up at the Lyon County Jail drunk.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 4:50 p.m. Monday, Joey Espeland, 52, reported to the sheriff’s office to serve a jail sentence on a prior charge. When he got there, it was determined he was under the influence of alcohol.
Espeland was arrested for public intoxication, a simple misdemeanor.
