WILLMAR -- Daniel Amor, 45, of Montevideo, was sentenced Tuesday to 33 months in prison, which was stayed, 305 days in the county jail, 25 years of probation and a $1,500 fine on a second-degree criminal sexual conduct charge for molesting a girl over a period of three years.
As part of his sentence handed down by Judge Donald M. Spilseth in Kandiyohi County District Court, Amor was also ordered to submit to a psychosexual evaluation and follow all recommendations pertaining to it, seek counseling, have no contact with female minors and register as a predatory offender.
Restitution in the case was ordered to remain open for 30 days.
As part of a plea agreement, three additional first- and second-degree sex charges were dismissed.
The charges were filed after a Willmar police detective received a report in April 2009 from Kandiyohi County Family Services that a now 22-year-old woman reported Armor sexually abused her when she was younger.

The woman said she had never told anyone about the abuse, but that she was concerned for other girls who had contact with Amor.
In an interview, the woman told the detective she was molested by Amor at a home in Willmar when she was between the ages of 12 and 15. She said she blamed herself and thought if she kept quiet, other girls at the home would be OK.
The woman said Amor told her he was just trying to teach her about the "birds and the bees," safe sex and what boys would do to please her so that she could tell them not to.
According to the complaint, Amor is a convicted sex offender, having a fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct conviction from 1999 in Swift County.
