COTTAGE GROVE - The Washington County Sheriff's Office wants the public's help as it investigates a possible homicide in Lake Elmo.
Authorities said they were called Thursday afternoon to an unknown situation near the 8800 block of 55th Street North and found a man with life-threatening injuries.
The man was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
The sheriff's office did not release the victim's name Friday, pending family notification. It also was not releasing information about how he died; authorities are awaiting autopsy results from the Ramsey County medical examiner.
The sheriff's office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating the death as a homicide.
