Many Luverne community ed programs set

LUVERNE — Luverne Community Education will offer a chartered bus trip to Senior/Kids Day at the Minnesota State Fair on Aug. 29. Individuals may board the bus in Luverne or Worthington.

Other future events include:

  • Melodious Mallets will be offered at Luverne Street Music for students ages 7 to 12 years beginning Tuesday. There is a per-student fee for the 19 weeks of class.

  • Introduction to Horsemanship will be offered Aug. 26 at Rock Ranch for grades three through six (as attended during the 2018-2019 school year) or for older students through adults on Aug. 27. There is a fee.

  • Discovery Time fall preschool classes have openings this fall for children aged 3 by Sept. 1. Early learning scholarships are available to families who qualify.

  • Playing Nice in the Sandbox is for teachers, child care providers and stay-at-home moms, and is scheduled for Sept. 16. Kim Ratz will entertain with songs and stories while helping participants improve skills and techniques for working with others. There is a fee; Rock County Daycare Association members are free.
