FARGO - The chairman of the special committee setup by Meritcare's board of directors to dig into their proposed merger with Sanford health says he's seen nothing to this point that would derail it.
But Lauris Molbert, treasurer of the MeritCare board, says there is still a long way to go in the process before any merger takes place.
Meritcare is hosting a community forum at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Public Library in Fargo.
Molbert says the idea is to get information out to the public and to answer questions about what the merger may mean.
Meritcare's Doctor Roger Gilbertson and Sanford's Kelby Krabbenhoft will be at the forum.
